Cycle To Work with Mark2 Electric Bikes
Save money and spread the cost of a new eBike.
Purchasing a Mark2 Electric Bike has never been easier or more affordable now we’re part of the Green Commute Initiative, Cyclescheme and Bike2Work; initiatives enabling employers to offer their employees the opportunity to purchase an eBike without the upfront cost, rather spreading the cost over an agreed time.
How do they work?
If you’re employed, receive your salary through PAYE, are over the age of 16, and your employer is part of a cycle to work scheme, you can apply to purchase an eBike through one of the cycle to work schemes we’re a part of!
Cycle to work schemes enable your employer to purchase your preferred eBike for you in return for a small, manageable deduction to your salary, usually over a 12 month period, but up to 24 months.
This means that instead of purchasing your eBike for an upfront cost, you can spread the cost over an agreed length of time - making paying for your bike much easier and more affordable.
What’s more, because the deduction is made before tax, you’ll end up paying less tax and National Insurance, which will save you up to 47% of the cost of your eBike overall.
Green Commute Initiative (GCI) is a Social Enterprise working to encourage commuters out of their cars and onto bicycles! Improving personal health as well as the overall health of our planet by reducing pollution and congestion from motor vehicles. With GCI, you can save up to 47% and spread the cost of your eBike up to a 24 month period.
Cyclescheme is the UK’s most popular cycle to work scheme and is an employee benefit that saves you 25-39% on an eBike and accessories. You pay nothing upfront and all repayments are taken before tax from your salary by your employer.
Bike2Work is considered the UK’s number 1 independent provider of the government-backed cycle to work scheme; saving cyclists up to 42% on a new bike. With Bike2Work, you can save on bikes and accessories over £1000!
Who can apply?
If you’re employed, receive your salary through PAYE, are over the age of 16, and your employer is part of a cycle to work scheme, you can apply.
NB: if your salary falls below the National Living Wage or National Minimum Wage after your eBike payments have been deducted you will not be eligible to apply for a cycle to work scheme.
